FINAL FANTASY VII App Reviews

Just a spectacular port of FFVII. Everything I hoped it could be, I love being able to take this game everywhere. If you ever played the original back on release day, then the nostalgia is so strong.

Wow brings back lots of memories very impressed with it The blue bars dont bother me at all like the fact of the encounter button will come in handy Over all well done cant wait to see what ff comes out next

Random battles were awful. It made things tedious by discouraging players from wanting to immerse themselves in the overworld. Im glad they rectified that issue for those of us who prefer to explore unimpeded. Saving is still a gigantic pain and it seems very little effort went into porting this game. Because of that Im struggling to come up with a proper rating. The game itself deserves 5 stars, however I think 3 is a better representation of what this lazy port deserves. So I guess Ill give it a 4.

Wont work on iphone 6, cant pass the icloud menu. Empty buttons... This c... doesnt worth few dollars...

Great App! Its such a treat to be able to take this masterpiece of a game anywhere with you! No app is perfect, but Square Enix did very well with this. Game can sometimes be very slow when navigating the world map and piloting vehicles. This can be fixed by quickly going to the character menu and then back to the world map. Blue bars on the side of the screen really dont affect anything. Its a nice place to have your buttons without losing any visuals. The one thing i would change is label the buttons to mirror a PS controller and not Xbox. 4.5 out of 5! Please do FF8 next!!!

FF7 is definitely one of the best game of all time. Not much needed change. Even the old school graphics it retained give it a certain charm. This being said, i wouldnt write a review simply to say Im a fan. This, is a poor port.. The lag on the world map drives me crazy. The controls arent well integrated. Im using an iPad PRO and still have these issues. I will recommend buying it only once these problems have been patched. Do your work Square enix.

Great game I love everything about it except the aspect ratio. Square updated all of their Final Fantasy games in iOS in 16:9 except this one..WHY?!?

Played on iPad 3. The frame rate is so bad that the game gets unplayable. I deleted it after getting the Highwind, as it would lag too much when travelling on the world map. It is quite expensive for a game that is so flawed. Too bad, I was looking forward to re-playing this classic.

Great port just wished you could change the opacity of the virtual buttons for Bluetooth controllers other than that first ff7 port for mobile.

Pretty much a direct PC port + iCloud. Should replace Disgusting PC MIDI music with CD audio from PS1. Widescreen would be a lot of work, so they get a pass. But the music...

I have spent plenty of hours enjoying this port on my iPhone. It is excellent! I would just recommend though, for some of the mini-games such as Tifas piano where in the original, both trigger buttons had to be pressed along with one A, B, X or Y that perhaps maybe it could be just L1 that needs to be pressed? Its a little awkward pressing L1 and R1 both, along with one of those 4 buttons. Other than a little bit of button awkwardness with some (very few) mini-games, and a little bit of extra loading time after entering the world map from a town or after battle, the game is definitely a 5-star in my opinion. I hope you guys dont mind my suggestions! I certainly love it! Excellent job!

I love FF7, however the port here isnt great quality, but its acceptable. I really hope SquareEnix will update it to the port quality of FF9, as they did a much better port on that game.

This game was my life growing up. This is exactly what I would have wanted from a port to an iOS device — even replaces the need for a controller without affecting screen visibility. Perf.

Often gets very laggy when in the highwinder either on my iPhone 6 or my iPad Air. Even worst the iPad is not downloading the iCloud saves. If I want to pick up where I left off, on my iPad I have to reinstall the game to get the iCloud download to work. Awful

This game is absolutely amazing and it was ported really well! The only thing that is a bit annoying is when you enter the main world (outside of the towns and cities) the game becomes very slow. Other than that everything runs pretty smoothly!!

This games is amazing on mobile i love all the encounters, and boss fights. I deleted it i while ago because it takes up so much space, but im re downloading it as im writing this. I played for like 6 hours strait, i thought i was almost done the game like all other games i blaze through, but after I deleted it, i looked at a video about it and realized that i wasnt even close. BTW heres a tip that i didnt do the first time playing, buy a cure materia for a few of your party members, no spoilers but its inpotant later.
